Crochet Tank Top Pattern

Materials:

Two skeins caron simply soft – whichever color you like.

Get your hooks ready… you need a variety of crochet hook sizes.

Beads if you want them.

Pattern Instructions:

First, make two triangles:

Chain 26-35 (depending on your chest size), then single crochet entirely across the first row. As you double back over and over again, just decrease by one at the end of the row in order to make a triangle.

At the end of the triangle, immediately start making a chain without stopping and SC all the back across – this is the easiest way to make the straps/strings to tie behind neck.

BODY:

Working as one piece, single crochet the desired circumference around your chest area — measure yourself first before starting. Although gauge is not REALLY important, it’s important that you get your measurements correct.

Do not work in a round. Work it as one flat piece.

So… Ch as many as you like, then single crochet first row, then single crochet again the second row.

At the beginning of 3rd row, ch 3, skip 1st sc, dc in next ch. Dc in PREVIOUS chain to create the crossed V stitch.

Do that the entire way across to create the crossed V stitch.

Once you have desired length, the last row should be a row of DC.

Crochet LOOSELY up the sides, joining each end together to make a seam in the back.

Attach the triangles in the front, and WALA!! You’ve got a tank.

I encourage you all to experiment with ANY patterns for this. The most important part is measurement.
