Ribbon ‘n’ Tassel Angel Ornament: Or, How to Make Pretty Angels from Tassels and Small Scraps of Ribbon
How to make pretty little angels from tassels and small scraps of ribbon.
Craft Supplies:
- Tassel (medium size)
- Ribbon Scrap
- Wood Angel Wings
- Gold Ring
- Hot Glue
- Gold Paint
- Decorative Button
Craft Project Instructions:
Paint the angel wings gold and set aside to dry. I used a gold paint pen. The metallic finish of the paint pens is much nicer than the regular acrylic paints.
Pull the gold ring over the tassel string and glue to top of tassel. Fold a length of ribbon in half (long enough to reach around the tassel and create hands by tying knots at the ends of the ribbon (refer to photo for details).
Glue ribbon to the back centre of the tassel wrap then glue a decorative button, pin or anything similar to the two hands.
Glue angel wings to the back centre tassel wrap (on top of the ribbon used for hands). You can paint a face if you like, but I prefer these left without a face.
Of course, these little tassel angels look lovely on the Christmas tree. But you can also replace the button with a tiny gift bow or write a message on the back of the wings and use in place of a gift tag.
Tassel Angels – Variations
These variations of the tassel angel are also part of our Homemade Angels Collection. Wouldn’t a tree decorated with all three types of tassel angels be a wonder to behold?
