How to make a ponytail scrunchie from strips of tulle.
by Twila Lenoir
This is my beautiful daughter’s hair. Wouldn’t this be nice in a bride’s or bridesmaid’s hair?
What You Need:
tulle, in one or two colors
fabric covered rubber band for hair
Craft Instructions:
You can find tulle in the wedding department of most craft stores. Sewing and fabric stores will also stock it. Cost is under quite reasonable for an amount sufficient to do many crafts.
Start by cutting 22 strips of tulle, each 5-1/2 inches wide by 8 inches long. If you are using two colors, cut 11 strips of each color.
Now all you have to do is knot them around the fabric covered rubber band. My daughter didn’t like hers too puffy so we just trimmed it down, like trimming hair.
