Here’s an easy back-to-school craft project that will set your favorite gel pen apart from all the others – all you need to do is decorate it with seed beads!

Craft supplies:
- gel pen
- seed beads
- white craft glue
- tin foil
- paint brush
Project Instructions:
On most gel pens there is a lip about halfway up the pen – spread glue only on the top part of this line, leaving the lower part near the pen tip undecorated (as shown in our photo) – it will be easier to write with the pen this way.
At first, we tried rolling the pen in the seed beads, but found that this method just smeared the glue around and the beads didn’t stick well.
The best way is to apply the glue, then sprinkle seed beads onto the glue. If there are any gaps, simply sprinkle more beads to cover them, then press the beads gently into the glue with your fingers to position them firmly.
Place the pen on a small piece of tin foil, in a warm, dry place overnight, or until the glue has dried completely.
Finally, dilute a little glue with a little bit of water and paint this mixture all over the beads. When this glue is dry the beads won’t come off – and you will have a special gel pen that no one else has!
